CM takes part in Ladli Behnas programmes in Narsinghpur, Jabera

  • Overwhelmed by the affection of Behnas, says govt committed to empower women

Bhopal: Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav affirmed the state government’s dedication to empowering women, describing the experience of walking alongside the women of the state as deeply fulfilling. He expressed that he would always cherish the affection his sisters showed him with their Rakhi ties. Dr. Yadav made these remarks while participating in the Ladli Behna programme held at the Krishi Upaj Mandi complex in Narsinghpur, which coincided with Raksha Bandhan and the Shravan festivals.

Dr. Yadav said that, as part of the state government’s commitment to women’s empowerment, Rs 1250 is being deposited monthly into the accounts of Ladli Behnas to support their families. This year on Raksha Bandhan, an additional Rs 250 will be given separately alongside the Ladli Behna Yojana funds. This bonus will benefit 1.29 crore women across the state.

Dr. Yadav emphasized that Raksha Bandhan is a festival that surpasses all others in its significance, highlighting the unbreakable bond between brothers and sisters. He noted that the warmth and affection he experienced from the sisters in Narsinghpur today felt like celebrating all festivals in one day, underscoring the festival’s deep connection to our Sanatan culture.

CM Dr. Yadav dedicated, performed bhoomi pujan, and laid the foundation of 12 construction works worth Rs 151.13 crore in the programme of Ladli Behnas organized at the Krishi Upaj Mandi in Narsinghpur. He also distributed benefits to the beneficiaries under various public welfare schemes. In the program, Ladli Behnas presented a big Rakhi to the Chief Minister and tied the Rakhi to his wrist. The Chief Minister planted a mango sapling in the open jail premises of Narsinghpur. Jail department personnel gave a guard of honor.

None of the schemes will be withdrawn

CM Dr. Yadav said that to enhance the education of the state’s youth, PM Excellence Colleges have been established in every district, including Narsinghpur, as part of the new education policy. He highlighted that both the Central and State Governments are supporting farmers with a grant of Rs 6,000 each to help cover expenses for fertilizers, seeds, electricity, and water.

Programme in Jabera

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav addressed the Ladli Behna Utsav programme at Jabera in Damoh district. During the event, he announced the elevation of Jabera to a Municipal Council. The Chief Minister also inaugurated a high-level bridge worth Rs 4.5 crore on the Tendukheda-Jamunkheda-Ajitpur road under the Pradhan Mantri Sadak Yojana in Damoh district with a single click. Additionally, he distributed benefits to beneficiaries of various schemes.
