Collector reaches among villagers; sets up village chaupal

Bhopal: Collector Ashish Singh today reached village Chitora of Depalpur tehsil of Indore district along with a team of officials. Here he organized a village chaupal at night. Met the villagers face to face and understood their problems and resolved them on the spot. Collector Singh also found out the field reality of government schemes and programs by discussing with the villagers. Also gave many gifts to the villagers. The villagers welcomed the collector by presenting him bouquets of improved organic crops.

On this occasion, District Panchayat Vice President Bharat Patel, Depalpur Sub-Divisional Officer Ravi Verma and officials of various departments were present. Collector Ashish Singh reached village Chittaura of Depalpur tehsil tonight. After reaching here, he sat among the villagers and came face to face with the villagers. Discussed with the villagers and asked about their problems. By discussing with the villagers, he also learned about the field reality regarding the implementation of government schemes and programmes. Got to know their problems and solved them hands-on.

Crop damage survey completed

On this occasion, farmers told that crops have been damaged due to excessive rain in the village. Agriculture Department officials said that the survey work has been completed. Farmers will soon receive the compensation amount. The villagers told about the problem of drinking water here. PHE officials said that the work of bringing Narmada water is going on at a fast pace. Soon Narmada water will be available here. Villagers told that there is an old dilapidated and unusable school building in the school premises. Children are always at risk due to this. The Collector gave instructions to dismantle it yesterday itself. On the demand of the villagers, the Collector instructed the farmers to build two farm roads of 3 km and 2 km length to reach the fields. He also directed the officials to install street lights in the village.
