Bhopal: Deputy Chief Minister Rajendra Shukla has said that the objective of the government is not only to build health infrastructure, but also to ensure that these infrastructures become helpful in providing better health services to the public. He directed that along with the construction works, arrangements should also be made for HR and necessary medical equipment so that the general public can get the benefit of these facilities soon.
Deputy CM Shukla conducted a comprehensive review of various health infrastructure development projects and construction works of medical colleges of the state at the Mantralaya. He directed to complete all the construction works within the stipulated time limit and with the highest quality standards, so that unnecessary increase in cost can be checked and the general public can get the benefit of these facilities as soon as possible.
Complete construction work of medical colleges on priority
Deputy CM Shukla said that expansion of health facilities is an important step towards the goals of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s “Atmanirbhar Bharat” and “Right to Health”. Shukla reviewed the progress of 8 new medical colleges under construction and directed the concerned officials to complete their work as soon as possible, so that seats for students can be increased and health services can be improved.
650-bed state-of-art medical college to be developed in Satna
The Deputy Chief Minister also reviewed the status of construction of 650-bed medical college hospital in Satna and directed to develop it as a “state-of-the-art” health care facility. He said that the aim of this project is not only to provide high quality medical services in the region but also to provide advanced medical services to patients from the surrounding districts. This hospital will include state-of-the-art operation theatres, emergency facilities and specialist departments, which will be helpful in providing the best treatment to the patients.
