Bhopal: Ashok Singh, the official candidate of Congress from Madhya Pradesh for the Rajya Sabha elections, filed his nomination papers today.
Senior Congress leader Singh reached Madhya Pradesh Assembly and filed nomination papers for Rajya Sabha elections. During this, many Congress leaders including State Congress President Jitu Patwari, Leader of Opposition in the Assembly Umang Singhar and senior MLAs Ajay Singh, Ramniwas Rawat were present.
Today is the last date to submit nomination papers for Rajya Sabha elections. The nomination papers will be scrutinized tomorrow.
The last date for withdrawal of names by the candidates has been kept as 20th February. If necessary, voting will be held on February 27 from 9 am to 4 pm and counting of votes will also take place in the evening on the same day.
