Cong to hold protest against Amit Shah in 150 cities

New Delhi, Dec 21 (UNI) The Congress will hold press conferences in 150 cities of the country on December 22 and 23 to protest against the ‘insult of Baba Saheb Ambedkar by Home Minister Amit Shah’.

Addressing a press conference at the AICC headquarters here, Congress spokesperson Pawan Khera said that the party leaders and workers will also organise ‘Baba Saheb Ambedkar Samman March’ at every district headquarters.

“All our MPs from Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha, along with CWC members, will address press conferences in their respective constituencies on December 22nd and 23rd, to strongly condemn the remarks made by Amit Shah and demand his resignation,” Khera said.

He said, “These events will highlight the deliberate attack on Baba Saheb Bhimrao Ambedkar ji and the Constitution of India. The attack came from none other than India’s Home Minister Amit Shah. We have demanded his resignation”.

The spokesperson said that on December 24, Congress party leaders and workers will organise a Baba Saheb Ambedkar Samman March in every district headquarters. A memorandum outlining their demands will be submitted to the collector, who will then forward it to the President of India.

He further stated that on December 26, there will be an extended CWC meeting in Belagavi. On December 27, a massive rally will be held and the Congress’ short-term and medium-term action plan will be discussed.
