Congress will intensify preparations for Lok Sabha elections in Madhya Pradesh after January 4. Congress National President Mallikarjun Kharge will hold a meeting with State President Jitu Patwari and Leader of Opposition in the Assembly Umang Singhar and many other big leaders on January 4.
After this, other committees including election campaign will be formed. After becoming the state Congress president, Jitu Patwari has started preparations for the Lok Sabha elections. He has held meetings with the district and city unit presidents, state and district officials of the front cell along with affiliated organizations and is soon going to start a statewide tour.
Focus on increasing voting percentage
The focus of the party is to increase the voting percentage. For this, voter contact program will be run by district and block units by identifying weak polling stations on the basis of votes received in the last four assembly elections. Applications for addition, deletion and amendment of names will be made in the special brief revision program of the voter list starting from January 6. At the time of assembly elections, Congress had complained about irregularities in the voter list. Party sources say that future preparations will be made on the basis of the guidance given in the meeting to be held in Delhi regarding the preparations for the Lok Sabha elections.
State executive will be formed in January
After the change in leadership in the State Congress, the State Executive has been dissolved. Announcement of Lok Sabha elections is possible in March. In view of this, State Congress President Jitu Patwari will form his team in January itself.
After discussing with all the senior leaders, they will form the state executive. The proposal for this will be sent to the central organization. Patwari has started preparations for this. He will take guidance in this regard after meeting with senior leaders on January 4 in Delhi.
