Bhopal: A youth died of suicide by hanging himself in Arera Hills area. The incident happened on Sunday night. There was a wedding at the neighbor’s house of the deceased, at the time of the incident the wife had gone to the neighbor’s house with the children. The police have registered a case and started investigation in the matter.
After the post-mortem, the body was handed over to the family on Monday afternoon. Arera Hills police said that 34-year-old Rajesh Maravi lived in Bhim Nagar slum, he was a whitewash contractor. Apart from his wife, the family has two sons. On Sunday evening, Rajesh’s wife had gone to the neighborhood to apply mehndi. She had taken both the children with her. Meanwhile, Rajesh reached home drunk and went inside the room and hanged himself.
When the wife returned after applying mehndi, she saw her husband hanging from the noose. When she raised an alarm, people from the neighborhood came. He was rushed to the hospital, where after checking, the doctor declared Rajesh dead.
