COPD clinic starts in BMHRC

  • Respiratory patients will get better treatment facilities
  •  Treatment will be available on Friday from 10 am to 4 pm

A COPD (Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease) clinic has been started for patients with serious diseases related to lungs and the respiratory system at Bhopal Memorial Hospital and Research Center (BMHRC) located in Karond area of the city.

In this special clinic, consultation will be given to patients suffering from respiratory diseases every Friday from 10 am to 4 pm. Dr. Manisha Srivastava, Director-in-charge of BMHRC, inaugurated the COPD Clinic in the Department of Pulmonary Medicine. On this occasion, Dr. Manisha Srivastava said that it is the priority of the hospital to provide good treatment especially to the patients suffering due to gas tragedy. Through the COPD clinic, it will be easier to identify patients suffering from serious respiratory diseases and it will be easier to provide them with multidimensional treatment. She informed that such special clinics will also be started in other departments of BMHRC.

Other services along with special treatment

In this special clinic of the Pulmonary Department, COPD patients will also be provided physical and mental rehabilitation treatment keeping in mind the difficulties they face in their daily activities. For this, cooperation of the psychiatry department and physiotherapy department of the institute will be taken. On the occasion of the inauguration of the COPD Clinic, Medical Superintendent in-charge of BMHRC Dr. Anurag Yadav, other heads of departments, doctors, officers and employees were present.
