Lucknow, Nov 9 (UNI) Samajwadi Party President Akhilesh Yadav on Saturday said that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) government is laying landmines by destroying social harmony.
Talking to the reporters at the party headquarters, Akhilesh said, “The countdown of the encounter government has begun. That is why they are scared. Their language has changed. They are so scared that they are considering the officers as their officials but the officers and the people of the government probably do not know that the public is no longer with them.”
He said, “The public is against the BJP. When the public is against them, what will the officer do? What has become of the Chief Minister’s language and what is he saying?”
The SP chief said that now the BJP will not remain in the government for as long as it has been. “That is why their language has changed. Their way of thinking and understanding has changed. The truth is that the wickedness of the mind becomes the bitterness of words. In the by-elections, the SP and the public will strongly counter every trick of the BJP government. The public is against the BJP. Now BJP has no credibility left, that is why it is contesting elections by putting officers forward. But officers also know that the public is not with BJP,” he claimed.
He said that the BJP government is discriminating against saints and sages. “Fights are being instigated between saints and sages. What kind of Yogis are they? Indian tradition has been that the bigger a saint is, the less he speaks and when he speaks, he speaks for the welfare of the people. Here everything is the opposite. Their qualification will have to be tested. Because of the kind of language they are using, it seems that somewhere we should know about their qualifications. A person is a Yogi not by his clothes but by his words,” he said.
Akhilesh said that BJP reminds him of Amrit Kaal but during its tenure, it is Amrit Kaal of ruin and not of freedom. “It is said that in Kaliyug everything is the opposite. This is what is visible in the BJP government. It is said here that the bigger a Yogi is, the more silent he remains. Here there has been a tradition of Mauni and Muni. But today those who should be soft-spoken have become talkative and harsh. Those who should speak the truth have become false propagandists,” he said.
He said that the way the Supreme Court has commented and questioned the functioning of the BJP government recently has not happened with any other government. “For the first time, the SC has imposed a huge fine of Rs 25 lakh on the UP government against the bulldozer action and has also directed action against the officials,” he said.
The SP chief said, “Not only this, the judges said that this government is very arrogant. It seems that the rule of law has ended in UP. Power and authority are being misused in UP. The SC further said that this is arbitrariness. Houses cannot be demolished overnight with bulldozers. There is jungle raj and anarchy in UP.”
Yadav said that Samajwadi Party has always said that the BJP government is arrogant. It is doing anti-constitution and anti-democracy work. Bulldozer cannot be a symbol of justice but this government is running bulldozers in the arrogance of power. This government takes bulldozers and does not even give people a chance to take out their household goods. Neither notice to anyone nor any chance.
He said that the BJP government is doing injustice to people which is why it is being reprimanded by the judiciary and is being fined. He said that earlier police used to raid but in the BJP government now raids are being done on police.
Akhilesh alleged, “The BJP government is increasing discrimination. Inflation, unemployment, corruption, and crime against women are continuously increasing. Today all records of crime against women have been broken. So much injustice has never happened to women and daughters before. People do not get justice. People try to commit suicide out of helplessness.”
