Patna, Oct 11 (UNI) Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar on Wednesday said the country will progress a lot if it gets rid of the BJP.
Talking to newspersons after offering tributes to the Loknayak Jaiprakash Narayan here, Kumar said the country would progress a lot only after getting rid of the BJP.
Kumar said he has united the opposition parties and now the people will take a call on the issue of making the country free of BJP.
He alleged that nothing would happen only at the whims of the BJP.
Kumar said he does not wish to make any comment on the statements made by the BJP and alleged that the party has hijacked the entire media.
To a query over the statement of BJP National President J P Nadda regarding extinction of all regional parties, Kumar reiterated since beginning he was saying that the BJP has “captured” media which can write and express freely once the country is free from it.
Blaming BJP for misusing government exchequer, Kumar said the BJP government indulged only in campaigning due to which he was not at all interested to look into the statements of the BJP leaders.
When asked about caste based survey, Kumar said it was conducted only with the consent of all political parties and now the report would be tabled in the house carrying detail of economic condition of each and every family belonging to any caste.
He said all legislators would be apprised in detail of the report and any action would be taken only with their consent.
Declining to comment on the question regarding extension of reservation limits, Kumar said any decision would be taken on it only with the suggestion of members of the house.
Retorting sharply at the comments of BJP state president Samrat Chaudhary who had stated that the number of Yadavs and Muslims have been shown more in the survey report only at the behest of RJD chief Lalu Prasad Yadav, Kumar alleged that Chaudhary lacked wisdom and does not understand anything.
Kumar said he does not give importance to the statements of such leaders.
