- Governor participates in Tribal Research and Study Course Workshop
Bhopal: Governor Mangubhai Patel has said that the new generation should take inspiration from the spirit of love and sacrifice for their motherland from the tribal community. We should cherish the sacrifices of public leaders in our hearts. He said that for the study and research of tribals, it is necessary for the researchers to have the feeling and sensitivity to connect with the tribal community and understand it deeply. He said that with the changing times the changes in the lifestyle of the tribes should be identified. The system of research and study should be developed accordingly, only then the study can be made relevant, authentic and effective.
Governor Patel was addressing the Tribal Research and Study Course Workshop organized in the auditorium of Rajiv Gandhi Technological University under the aegis of Tribal Research and Anushilan Centre, Delhi.
Governor Patel said that the Tribal Studies curriculum should be a vision document. There should be an integrated study of various dimensions of cultural sovereignty, constitutional provisions and historicity of the tribes. It is important that the curriculum should also include the life values and natural simplicity of the tribals. The Governor appreciated the efforts of the universities of Madhya Pradesh and the effective participation of the students in the field of tribal research and studies.
The special guest of the program, Higher Education, Technical and AYUSH Minister Inder Singh Parmar said that the tribal society is the heritage of the country. The new generation should learn from his spiritual thinking, tradition and knowledge.
Former Chairman of the National Commission for Scheduled Tribes, Harsh Vardhan Singh Chauhan described the rich traditions of the tribal society as the pride and strength of the country.
Governor Patel was greeted by Vice Chancellor RGPV Sunil Kumar Gupta by welcoming him with a bouquet and presenting a memento.
