Cybersecurity Awareness Session Held in Collaboration with Raisen Police and Rabindranath Tagore University

A significant cybersecurity awareness session was held by Raisen Police in collaboration with Rabindranath Tagore University (RNTU), aimed at educating citizens, students, and institutions about the rising threat of cybercrimes. The event was graced by key figures such as IG Mithilesh Shukla, DIG Prashant Khare, SP Pankaj Pandey, and cybersecurity experts including Yogesh Pandit and Anant Srivastava.

In his address, IG Mithilesh Shukla emphasized, “In the digital age, cybersecurity must be our priority,” highlighting the growing threat of cybercrimes like phishing, ransomware, and data theft. He urged citizens to adopt vigilance and proper cybersecurity practices. DIG Prashant Khare described cybercrime as not only a technical challenge but also a social issue, stressing the importance of digital awareness, especially among youth.

The event also featured a powerful street play performed by RNTU’s NSS and NCC students in Obedullaganj, which educated the public on online frauds, phishing, and digital scams. Directed by Vikrant Bhatt, the play was well-received by local citizens.

Experts at the session also discussed practical steps to prevent cybercrimes, such as using strong passwords, avoiding suspicious links, and enabling two-factor authentication. The event concluded with an interactive Q&A session, providing valuable insights into safeguarding digital activities.
