Bhopal: Daily wage workers in Madhya Pradesh have opened their front in before the government. Thousands of daily wage workers of the Madhya Pradesh government from all over the state gathered at Ambedkar Maidan in Bhopal on Tuesday. During this, the employees protested and placed their demands before the government. Daily wage workers from all over the state put forth several demands like salary hike and making permanent workers.
It is noteworthy that for the last several years, the daily wage workers of Madhya Pradesh have been demanding to make them permanent. In view of the upcoming assembly elections, the employees have opened their front. Even before this, during the time of elections, the demand of making daily wage workers permanent workers has been fulfilled. The ruling party and the opposition have also been making such announcements in their election manifestos.
At present, about 1 lakh 10 thousand daily wage workers are working in Madhya Pradesh. Their retirement age is 60 years.
9 point demands
Thousands of daily wage workers have put forth their 9 demands before the government. These demands include demands like declaring them as permanent workers as well as regular increment. Apart from this, the employees have demanded that they should be given the 7th pay scale, leave encashment benefits, basic facilities benefits.
