Shimla, Feb 27 (UNI) The daytime temperature in Himachal Pradesh dropped significantly in many places.
Mandi saw the biggest drop, with the temperature falling 10.1°C below normal, making it much colder than usual.
Nahan in Sirmaur district was the warmest among the major stations, recording 23.2°C, with no change from the previous day and even slightly above normal.
Una recorded 19.4°C, dropping 4.6°C in 24 hours and staying 5.6°C below normal. Berthin was almost the same, at 19.5°C, with a 3.7°C drop. Dharamshala and Kangra were also colder than usual, with temperatures of 17.0°C and 17.8°C, respectively, both dropping by a few degrees.
Sundernagar, Mandi, and Solan experienced sharp temperature drops. Sundernagar recorded 15.8°C, dropping 4.0°C in a day and 6.5°C below normal. Mandi, as mentioned, was the worst affected, with the temperature plummeting to 15.2°C, making it 10.1°C colder than normal. Solan was also affected, with its temperature at 15.0°C, falling 7.0°C in the last 24 hours.
Other places like Bhuntar, Jubberhatti, and Dalhousie also saw significant dips. Bhuntar was 14.6°C, just slightly up from the previous day but still 4.7°C colder than normal. Jubberhatti dropped 6.0°C in a day to settle at 14.2°C, while Dalhousie reached 8.7°C, falling 3.4°C in 24 hours and staying 5.9°C below normal.
Shimla recorded 10.0°C, dropping 4.5°C in a day and 3.3°C below normal. Manali was even colder at 6.2°C, with a 1.4°C drop, making it 6.4°C below normal. Seobagh recorded 7.2°C, falling 3.8°C. Kalpa saw a 4.2°C drop, settling at 2.9°C, which was 4.7°C below normal.
Keylong, located in Lahaul-Spiti, was the coldest among the listed stations, with the temperature just 0.4°C, falling by 1.1°C and staying 0.6°C below normal. Due to heavy snowfall, it remained near freezing.
