- Bhopal is the first municipal corporation to ban obscene words

Bhopal of Madhya Pradesh has become the first municipal corporation in the country which has banned the use of indecent words. The Municipal Corporation has issued a booklet of un-parliamentary terminology and idioms, in which about 838 such idioms have been identified.
Members will not be able to use them inside the House. If found doing so, action will be taken against them. Bhopal Municipal Corporation Chairman Kishan Suryavanshi has said that in the ongoing council meeting on Friday, it has been decided that a glossary has been created to remove indecent words. He also said that after discussing this matter with Assembly Speaker Girish Gautam, we have prepared a booklet on un-parliamentary terminology. This booklet will be implemented in the Municipal Corporation House with immediate effect from today itself. The booklet will be given to all councilors so that they read the indecent words carefully and if the members use the words printed in the booklet. Action will be taken against them.
If a member uses a prohibited word knowingly or unknowingly, it will be considered that it is not a part of the proceeding, but if he does so intentionally, the member will be expelled from the House. Action can be taken.
The corporation has also printed a booklet containing indecent and un-parliamentary words, one copy of which will be given to the councillors. The Chairman said that amendments will be made as per requirement. Words can also be increased or decreased.
