Delhi assembly polls: BSP announces names of 69 candidates

New Delhi, Jan 17 (UNI) The Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) on Friday entered the election fray by announcing the names of 69 candidates for the 70-member Delhi assembly.

According to a statement issued by the party, the names have been approved by BSP president and former Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Mayawati.

Barring Babarpur assembly constituency, the party has fielded candidates in 69 seats.

Some of the prominent candidates fielded by BSP include Virender from the New Delhi assembly Constituency, Pitam from Kalkaji, Ravinder Kumar from Jungpura, Ranjit Kumar Gangwal from Karol Bagh and Devender Kumar from Karawal Nagar.

Voting to the 70-member Delhi assembly will take place on February 5, while the counting will be on February 8.
