- 7.6 lac passengers travelled to Kumbh Mela from the major stations of Delhi Area
New Delhi, Since the Kumbh Mela began on 13th of January 2025, Delhi Division of Northern Railway has been constantly running Special trains for Kumbh Mela apart from the regular trains for Kumbh Mela stations i.e. Prayag Jn., Subedarganj, Prayagraj Rambag, Prayagraj Jn. and Phaphamau Jn. to facilitate smooth travel of passengers
During the period from 12.1.2025 to 21.2.2025, 108 no. of Special trains have been operated from the stations of Delhi area for the smooth travel of passengers going to Kumbh Mela. During the same period 1435 no. of regular trains have been operated from stations of Delhi Area.
During the period from 12.1.2025 to 14.2.2025, about 4.3 lacs reserved passengers and 3.3 lacs Unreserved passengers have travelled for Kumbh Mela from stations of Delhi Area i.e. New Delhi, Delhi Jn. and Anand Vihar Terminal.
