Delhi schools shift to hybrid mode for classes up to V amid rising pollution

New Delhi, Dec 16 (UNI) As the Commission for Air Quality Management reimposed GRAP-III in the Delhi-NCR region, the Delhi Government on Monday directed all schools in the national capital to conduct classes for students up to Class V in hybrid mode with immediate effect.

The Directorate of Education, Delhi Government, in a notice, directed all Heads of Schools of Government, Government-aided, unaided recognized private schools under the DoE, NDMC, MCD, and Delhi Cantonment Board to conduct classes for students up to Class V in ‘hybrid mode’—both physical and online (wherever online mode is feasible)—with immediate effect until further orders.

The notice also instructed schools to disseminate this information to the parents and guardians of students without delay.

The Sub-Committee for GRAP, in its meeting held today, comprehensively reviewed the air quality scenario in the region. It decided that all actions under Stage-III of the latest GRAP Schedule, as issued by the Commission for Air Quality Management, be implemented immediately and in full earnest across the entire NCR.

These actions are in addition to those under Stages I and II of the revised GRAP Schedule, which are already in force.
