New Delhi, Oct 4 (UNI) Senior Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader and former Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia on Friday said people of the Union Territory will give a befitting reply to the BJP in the upcoming Assembly polls for its allegations against AAP National Convener, Arvind Kejriwal.
Addressing a gathering during his ‘padyatra’ in Chandni Chowk, Sisodia said, “Arvind Kejriwal is a common man, and it doesn’t matter whether he stays in the Chief Minister’s residence or not.”
“BJP’s accusations against his honesty will be answered by the people of Delhi in the 2025 elections,” he said.
“The BJP has troubled Delhiites, but now that Arvind Kejriwal is back, things will be set right,” Sisodia said.
He highlighted that people are asserting that Arvind Kejriwal is honest, saying the BJP implicated him only to harass. They are eagerly waiting for the assembly elections to re-elect Kejriwal as CM.
“Businesspersons want an honest government that doesn’t harass them for donations or misuse agencies against them. They have seen how, under the BJP, agencies like the ED and CBI have exploited businesspersons. People believe that if someone like Arvind Kejriwal is in power, they will be safe from such issues,” he said.
Talking about Kejriwal vacating his government residence, the former Deputy CM remarked that he lives like a commoner. It doesn’t matter whether he stays in the CM’s residence or not. Since Arvind Kejriwal is no longer the Chief Minister, there is no reason for him to live in the CM residence.
