Dhaka, (UNI) Seventeen dengue patients died and 2,308 were hospitalised in the last 24 hours in Bangladesh.
With the latest death, a total of 593 people have died of dengue to date this year, a Directorate General of Health Services press release said on Thursday.
Currently, 8,378 people diagnosed with the mosquito-borne disease are taking treatment at different government and private hospitals in and outside the capital of Dhaka.
Of them, 3,817 are being treated at the facilities in the capital, while 4,561 are in other divisions.
As many as 1,23,808 dengue patients have been admitted to hospitals across the country since January 1 this year.
Some 1,14,837 of the hospitalised patients, however, recovered during the period.
