After the cabinet expansion, Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan allotted portfolios to the new ministers late on Wednesday evening. Cabinet Minister Rajendra Shukla has been given the responsibility of Public Relations and Public Health Engineering Department.
He has already handled the public relations department. Gaurishankar Bisen has been entrusted with the responsibility of Narmada Valley Development Department. Rahul Singh Lodhi, who was made minister for the first time, has been made the independent charge of Cottage and Village Industries Department and Minister of State of Forest Department. Narmada Valley Development, Public Relations and Public Health Engineering departments were till now with the Chief Minister.
It is to inform that Shivraj cabinet was expanded on August 26 after much speculation. After this, all three ministers were not given portfolios. Rajendra Shukla is MLA from Rewa. He is a Brahmin face. Gaurishankar Bisen has been a seven-time MLA and once MP. He comes from OBC category.
Balaghat MLA Gaurishankar Bisen comes from OBC category. Meanwhile, Rahul Lodhi is a first-time MLA from Khargapur assembly seat. He is the nephew of former CM Uma Bharti. Rahul comes from OBC category with a young face. The government has administered the oath of office to all three MLAs while harmonizing caste and social equations.
