Deputy Collector’s mobile, purse looted on Hamidia Road

Bhopal: A Deputy Collector was looted in broad daylight on Hamidia Road in Hanumanganj on Wednesday morning. The miscreant snatched his mobile phone and purse and ran away. At the time of the incident, the Deputy Collector had come to Bhopal from Sheopur for official work and was standing on the roadside waiting for an auto. The police have registered a case against the unknown miscreant and started searching for him. The miscreant is being searched with the help of CCTV cameras installed in the area.

According to the information, Yashveer Singh Tomar (61) lives in Collectorate Colony, District Sheopur and is the Deputy Collector in charge. He got off the bus at Nadra Bus Stand at around 5:15 am on Wednesday and started waiting for an auto standing on the roadside in front of Bal Niketan on Hamidia Road. Meanwhile, an unknown person approached him. He asked where he was going and who else was with him. Yashveer thought that he was an auto driver, so he said that I am alone and have come for government work and have to go to Vallabh Bhawan. On this, the said youth snatched his mobile phone and purse from his hand and pushed him and ran away. Yashveer Singh fell on the ground due to the push. His Aadhar card, driving license, Samagra ID, PAN card, two ATM cards, a SIM card along with other documents and cash of Rs 5500 were kept in the looted purse. After the incident, he went to Hanumanganj police station and registered a case of robbery against an unknown person.

Goods worth thousands stolen from mobile

Thieves stole goods worth thousands of rupees including accessories from a mobile shop located in Jahangirabad. Police have registered a case against unknown thieves. According to the police, Shadab Khan, a resident of Barkhedi Jahangirabad, runs a mobile accessories shop near Rashidiya School. On the night of August 6, at around 11 pm, he closed the shop and went home. On Wednesday morning, a friend informed that the foil at the back of the shop was torn. When Shadab reached the shop, all the goods were scattered. Shadab went to the police station and filed a report of theft. The police has estimated the value of the stolen goods to be 8 thousand rupees.

All 4 tyres of car stolen

Along with vehicle thieves, a gang that steals tyres is also active in the capital. In TT Nagar area, the miscreants removed all the four tyres of a Swift Dzire car and left the car parked on stones. The police have registered a case against unknown tire thieves. The miscreants are being searched with the help of CCTV cameras installed nearby. According to the police, Parvez Khan (28) lives in Panchsheel Nagar police station TT Nagar. He drives his elder father’s son’s Swift Dzire car. On Tuesday night at around 11:30, he parked his car near Ambedkar Ground as usual and went home. On Wednesday morning at around 6 o’clock, when he reached near the car, he found the car resting on the stones. All four tyres of the car were missing along with the rims. He informed his family about this and later went to the police station and filed a report of tyre theft.
