Development of Maharashtra is our agenda: Ajit Pawar

Shirdi, (UNI) The development of Maharashtra is the agenda of the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP), its chief Ajit Pawar said on Sunday, appealing to workers to ensure the party did not deviate from it.

Addressing the party’s Navsankalp Shibir in Shirdi, Pawar said the NCP should show through its actions that it respects all religions. “It should also be clear that this party belongs to the workers rather than the leaders. Instead of hanging around with the leaders, go among the people,” he said.

The two-day camp concluded during the day after Pawar gave his advice on how to take the party forward.

“We are taking the direction of development and progressive thinking from the birthplace of Sai Baba and Ahilyadevi Holkar through the Navsankalp Shibir. The coming era should belong to the NCP,” said Pawar, urging everyone to make an effort to install a NCP board and flag in every village.

Pawar also expressed his displeasure over how caste politics is carried out.

Pawar also clarified that the government is considering whether the Majhi Ladki Bhahin scheme should be continued under any circumstances and that the needy women should get its benefits.
