Devotees throng temples on last Monday of Sawan

Bhopal, On the last Monday of Sawan, a huge crowd of devotees has gathered in many temples of Madhya Pradesh. Due to the Adhikmas this year, Sawan has been of 2 months. During this, the devotees have worshiped Lord Shiva with full faith in the Shivalayas. On the last Monday of Sawan, Shiva devotees are offering prayers in the Shiva temple by performing Jalabhishek. During this the temple resounded with the chants of Har Har Mahadev and Om Namah Shivay. Seeing the crowd of devotees, the administration remained alert. Police has been deployed at various places for security.

Strict security arrangements have been made by the police in the Ujjain temple complex. Women cops have also been deployed. Along with this, surveillance is being done by CCTV cameras, so that the devotee can offer prayers in a peaceful environment by performing Jalabhishek. The belief of this temple is that Shivling appeared here on its own. In such a situation, all the devotees who worship here and perform Jalabhishek, their desired wishes are fulfilled.

Baba’s last royal ride taken out

Ujjain Collector Raghavendra Singh performed Panchamrit worship and aarti of Baba Baijnath at 03.30 am in the sanctum sanctorum. Today, between 12.30 pm to 1.00 pm, after worship and aarti in the sanctum sanctorum, Baba Baijnath left for the city tour by riding in a palanquin with royal pomp.

Baba’s last and eighth royal ride was taken out in the Mahakal temple. During this Baba Mahakal will go on Ujjain city tour and give darshan of his eight charming forms to the devotees. Baba Mahakal will come out in a silver palanquin as Chandramouleshwar, Manmahesh on elephant, Shivtandav on Garuda, Umamahesh on Nandi, Holkar on chariot, Ghatatop, Jatashankar and Shri Rudrarup to give darshan to the devotees.

CM performs worship

CM Shivraj Singh Chouhan arrived in Ujjain on the last Monday of the month of Shravan along with his wife Smt. Sadhna Singh and offered worship to Shri Mahakaleshwar Bhagwan. Pt. Pradeep Guru conducted the puja with rituals amidst chanting of mantras.

The Chief Minister took a tour of Shri Mahakal Lok on e-rickshaw on Monday. He greeted the devotees who had come for darshan of Shri Mahakal Lok and said that may Lord Mahakaleshwar do good to all and prayed for everyone’s wellbeing.On Monday, after darshan of Lord Mahakaleshwar CM Shri Chouhan had a look at the laddoos being prepared for distribution on Raksha-Bandhan festival. As much as 1.25 lakh laddoos are being made.
