Former Chief Minister Digvijay Singh has made a war room at his residence. For two days, he has been trying to pacify the angry people by showing his activism from here. He has been continuously holding discussions with angry leaders in every assembly seat of the state and convincing them to work in favor of the party. Its effect is showing.
Congress’ opposition has reduced from 35 seats to only a few seats. Most of the angry leaders agreed after being persuaded by Kamal Nath, Randeep Surjewala and Digvijay Singh. All of them have withdrawn their names. The coaxing in Congress continued till the end. For example, Mannu Daga of Congress had come to field as an independent candidate from Bhopal’s Huzur Assembly, but at the last moment he withdrew his name. Digvijay Singh kept discussing with people on phone till late Wednesday night. After this, even on Thursday morning itself, he started trying to convince his angry leaders. Singh has prepared a war room for the elections at his residence itself.
Assurance given to the rebels
According to the information, to pacify the rebels, if the government is formed, they have been assured of being given appropriate posts in the Corporation Board and Commission. Along with this, some leaders have been satisfied by awarding them posts like General Secretary and Vice President in the organization.
