Bhopal: Meanwhile, senior Congress leader Digvijaya Singh condemned Kejriwal’s arrest, accusing the BJP of undermining democracy by targeting opposition leaders and freezing their bank accounts. Singh criticized the BJP government’s handling of the Electoral Bond case, alleging unconstitutional measures and accusing the party of accumulating funds through dubious means such as extortion, donations in exchange for contracts, and involvement with shell companies.
Singh also raised concerns about the manipulation of Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs), calling for stringent actions against those involved and advocating for severe penalties, including capital punishment, for those found guilty of tampering with EVMs.
