Dilapidated roads taking a toll on residents

  • Will we wake up after a big accident?
  • Potholes all over are seen on Chetak Bridge

Chronicle Reporter, Bhopal
When will the dilapidated roads of the city be repaired? It seems that only God is the master of these roads now. The people of Bhopal have been crying about the roads for a long time and the officials are not tired of making excuses for the rain. Several thousand kilometers of roads have completely turned into potholes.

It is difficult to understand whether there are potholes in the road or the road is in the potholes. The roads of Maharana Pratap Nagar i.e. MP Nagar has been a topic of discussion for a long time. Apart from this, there is a Chetak Bridge attached to it, which is very famous in Bhopal. It connects ISBT, Rachna Nagar, Anna Nagar to MP Nagar. This bridge is 1 to 2 kilometers long but there are so many potholes on it that they cannot be counted. These potholes make people victims of accidents every day. Sometimes small and sometimes big accidents happen. The life of the common people has become difficult due to these potholes.

= Even a little rain in the capital turns this road into a pond. This dilapidated road is spoiling the budget of the people. Because, these potholes are having a bad effect on the health and life of the people. People have started having pain in their back and body. At the same time, vehicles also get damaged due to these potholes. Due to which people’s pockets are getting loose. These pictures of potholes are telling the problems of the people on their own. The surprising thing is that all the big ministers, officers and high officials of the city pass through this road, but nobody is paying attention to these potholes.

I have to get my Activa serviced many times because of this road. Because, if the vehicle is driven on such a damaged road, then what will happen if it doesn’t get damaged?

MP Nagar is considered to be the center point of Bhopal, when the roads here are so bad, then what can you expect from Chetak Bridge. At least attention should be paid to this area.

Mukesh says that he travels from Kolar to ISBT. There is no place between Kolar and here where the roads are in good condition. Potholes are seen everywhere.

As the rains stop, the municipal corporation officials work on patch work. Work has started at many places and it will continue in the future as well. Gradually, work will be done everywhere.
