New Delhi, June 28 (UNI) Disney+ Hotstar has released the trailer for its upcoming action series ‘Commander Karan Saxena,’ set to premiere on July 8, sources said on Friday.
Starring Gurmeet Choudhary as the fearless RAW agent Karan Saxena, the series also features Iqbal Khan and Hritha Durgule.
The show, directed by Jatin Wagle and produced by Keylight Productions, follows Saxena as he navigates a dangerous political mystery to save the nation.
Director Jatin Wagle shared his enthusiasm, said, “The story of Commander Karan Saxena is interesting, and I always wanted to do something like this. Amit Khan’s character is extremely vibrant. Gurmeet has brought life to the character of Commander Karan Saxena and I can’t imagine anyone else in this role. I can’t wait for the audience to watch this series.”
Gurmeet Choudhary, who plays the titular role, commented, “My character of Karan is the epitome of dedication, hard work and courage and these are the qualities I always wanted to see in myself. Bringing this character to life on screen has been a journey of strengthening those qualities for me.”
Hritha Durgule, playing police officer Rachna, said, ” The character (as a female police officer) fascinated me the moment I first read the script. It felt like it awakened a fearless part of me that I did not know was there.”
