EAM holds talks with visiting US NSA Jake Sullivan

New Delhi, June 17 (UNI) External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar on Monday held discussions on bilateral, regional and global issues with visiting US National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan.

He posted on X that the India-US strategic partnership will continue to advance strongly in the Modi government’s new term.

“Delighted to welcome US NSA @JakeSullivan46 in New Delhi today morning.

“A comprehensive discussion on a broad range of bilateral, regional and global issues.

“Confident that India-US strategic partnership will continue to advance strongly in our new term.”

The US NSA is in Delhi to hold talks with his Indian counterpart Ajit Doval on implementation of the ambitious India-US Initiative on Critical and Emerging Technologies (iCET).

Sullivan, accompanied by a delegation of senior American officials and industry leaders, is on an official visit to New Delhi from June 17 to 18.

The iCET was launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and US President Joe Biden on the sidelines of the Quad summit in Tokyo in May 2022.

The US NSA is expected to call on Prime Minister Modi.
