Riyadh/New Delhi, Sep 9 (UNI) External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar, who is visiting the Saudi capital, on Monday met Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov and Brazilian FM Mauro Vieira, on the sidelines of the GCC meeting.
In posts on X, the EAM said:
“A useful conversation with FM Sergey Lavrov of Russia today on the sidelines of the GCC meeting.”
“Nice to meet FM Mauro Vieira of Brazil on the sidelines of the Gulf Cooperation Council Ministerial Meetings.
“Discussed G20, BRICS and the Ukraine conflict.”
The Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) on Monday held separate ministerial meetings with Russia, India, and Brazil on the sidelines of its 161st Ministerial Council.
The GCC is a regional, intergovernmental, political, and economic union comprising Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, and the United Arab Emirates. The council’s main headquarters is located in Riyadh, the capital of Saudi Arabia.
