New Delhi, Aug 10 (UNI) A day after the Supreme Court granted bail in the excise policy case, Senior Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader and former Deputy Chief Minister of Delhi Manish Sisodia on Saturday said that in order to make India a developed nation, every child must be educated.
Addressing party workers here, Sisodia emphasised, “If India is to become a developed nation by 2047, every child in the country must receive education.”
“Anyone who claims that a nation can become developed without building schools, providing quality education to children, constructing hospitals, and offering good medical care is likely to be a mere rhetorician rather than a visionary,” he said.
Calling for unity in the fight against authoritarianism, Sisodia said, “New members of the NDA must not think that only AAP leaders would face imprisonment, if the opposition unites and raise their voice, even Arvind Kejriwal could be released within 24 hours.”
He urged everyone to fight for ‘Dismiss Authoritarianism from India’.
Targeting the BJP, the former Deputy CM said, “They are followers of Bhagat Singh and are not afraid.”
“No matter how powerful the BJP’s allies are, they cannot match the strength of Babasaheb’s constitution. Sisodia expressed that they are not intimidated by authoritarianism, imprisonment, or any of the BJP’s tactics,” Sisodia asserted.
“Initially, I expected to obtain justice within seven to eight months, but it ultimately took 17 months,” he said, noting that truth had triumphed in the end.
Earlier in the day, Sisodia visited the ancient Hanuman Temple in Connaught Place with his family and party leaders, where he worshipped and sought blessings from Bajrang Bali.
Senior party leaders including Sanjay Singh, Saurabh Bharadwaj, and Atishi were also present.
Following this, Sisodia visited Rajghat, the memorial of Mahatma Gandhi, paid homage, and offered flowers at his samadhi.
