Shimla, Aug 1 (UNI) All educational institutions under the Ani and Nirmand sub-divisions will remain closed on August 1, 2024.
This decision has been taken due to flooding at various places in Nirmand sub-division due to heavy rains last night, road blockage, and many roads in Ani sub-division being blocked.
SDM Ani Naresh Verma and SDM Nirmand Manmohan Singh say that this decision has been taken as a precaution.
Appealing for cooperation from the general public, he has said to stay away from rivers and drains during heavy rains. Do not travel unnecessarily. Do not go to landslide areas.
SDM Ani Naresh Verma says that the work of opening the closed road routes has started.
At the same time, SDM Nirmand Manmohan Singh says that relief and rescue work has been going on by the administration in the disaster-affected areas in the sub-division since this morning.
The administration is ready to help the common people in every possible way.
The footbridge, number of roads, vehicles, machinery of the power project, school buildings, hospitals, and rest houses were washed away. Around 25 people are missing.
