Colombo, Feb 17 (UNI) Former Sri Lankan President Ranil Wickremesinghe held discussions with India’s External Affairs Minister Dr. S. Jaishankar during the 8th Indian Ocean Conference, media reports said on Monday.
They focused on regional cooperation and maritime security, emphasising the need to enhance both bilateral and multilateral partnerships in the Indian Ocean region, The Daily Mirror reported.
Wickremesinghe, currently in Oman for the Maritime Partnership Conference, is set to address critical issues concerning maritime security, trade and regional stability, the report added.
