Factually incorrect, says Lok Sabha Secretariat to reports of Jamaican PM’s car cade being stopped

New Delhi, Oct 3 (UNI) The Lok Sabha Secretariat on Thursday termed as factually incorrect media reports claiming the car cade of Jamaican Prime Minister Andrew Holness was stopped at the gates of the Parliament House premises.

The Lok Sabha Secretariat said the Jamaican PM was accorded due protocol and facilitation during the visit.

During the visit, PM Holness and his delegation saw the two Chambers, Constitution Hall, Galleries and other important locations in the new Parliament Building. The Delegation also visited the Central Hall in Samvidhan Sadan, it said in a statement.

The Jamaican PM is visiting India. On October 1, he held bilateral talks with PM Modi which saw the two sides sign key MoUs. On Wednesday, the Jamaican PM and his delegation were on a visit to Varanasi, where they saw the Ganga Aarti on the banks of the Ganges and also visited a trade facilitation centre.
