On the initiative of DGP Sudhir Saxena, this year also Garba festival was organized for the families of police under the aegis of Police Welfare.
More than 1000 women and girls participated in this festival organized at the cricket ground located at DRP Line Nehru Nagar. Before this, all the women and girls were given training for about three weeks.
The wife of Director General of Police Priyamvad Saxena, who is also the patron of the Police Welfare Society, showed special interest and conceived this Garba festival. Apart from Bhopal Police, training camps were organized in Police Line, 23rd Battalion, 7th Battalion and 25th Battalion. DGP Saxena and other officers inaugurated the Garba festival with the aarti of Ambe Maa. As a guardian, DGP wished everyone a happy Navratri festival.
During this time, a large number of senior officers were present to encourage their junior staff.
