A fire broke out in an incense stick factory running in a tin sheet at Teen Imli crossing in Azad Nagar police station area. Goods worth lakhs turned to ashes due to the fire. As soon as the information was received, the fire brigade team brought the fire under control.
Assistant Inspector Police Fire Brigade Santosh Kumar Dubey said that a massive fire broke out in an incense stick factory near Teen Imli bus stand in Azad Nagar police station area due to short circuit, after which the fire engulfed four other warehouses nearby. As soon as the information was received, the fire brigade team reached and immediately started the work of extinguishing the fire, along with evacuating the nearby tire warehouses as well as other warehouses. By then the fire had taken a terrible form. The fire brigade team brought the fire under control within two hours with the help of four tankers.
The incident took place on Monday afternoon, the cause of the fire is being told to be a short circuit. The factory workers told the fire team that the fire first started in the incense godown. A large quantity of prepared incense and other liquids were stored here. Initially the fire started in the liquids, which engulfed the entire godown. Before the fire brigade vehicles arrived, four more godowns nearby were engulfed by the fire. As soon as the information was received, four firefighters controlled the fire within two hours.
