Indore: A campaign to check school vehicles is being run in Indore on the instructions of Collector Ashish Singh. Under this campaign, special checking of school vehicles was done today by the Regional Transport Office Indore. Fitness of 05 school buses was cancelled on negligence found in this campaign. One school bus was seized. Along with this, action was taken against 10 vehicles including these and a fine of Rs 40 thousand was collected.
Regional Transport Officer Pradeep Sharma said that on the instructions of Collector Ashish Singh, checking of vehicle speed, speed governor and documents is being done. Feedback is also being taken from children and parents about the behavior of the driver-conductor. The process of checking vehicles is continuing. Today, action was taken by going to different schools. During this, 05 school buses were found violating fitness conditions. Their speed governors were also found to be faulty. Their fitness was cancelled on the spot. One school vehicle was being operated without documents, which was seized. Action was taken against 10 other vehicles including school vehicles under various sections of the Motor Vehicles Act and a fine of Rs 40,000 was collected.
