Chronicle Reporter, Bhopal
On Wednesday, in the 38th episode of the program series Poonam, focused on classical music, on the open air stage of the Avatar Bhawan of Indira Gandhi Rashtriya Manav Sangrahalaya, flute player Pandit Rakesh Chaurasia presented flute playing. During this, while explaining the subject matter centered on flute, he told that Bhopal is an important place for music.

He said that music education should be compulsory in school education. Music should be taken as a profession and not as a hobby. Music brings energy, it keeps the mind calm, due to which diseases are getting cured. Everyone should play the flute, it strengthens the lungs. This is a type of yoga. I learned all the tricks of the flute by playing the flute on stage and by practising. There is no fight or quarrel in music. The goddess of music is Saraswati. Music is like the work of a chef which comes only through practice. During this time Pandit Rakesh Chaurasia mesmerized the audience with his flute playing. He is the nephew of the famous flute player Hariprasad Chaurasia.
