Jammu, Jan 31 (UNI) Panic gripped among the border dwellers after landmines exploded due to forest fire along the Line of Control in Poonch district of Jammu and Kashmir.
Official sources said that fire broke out in Dhari Dabsi forests in Mendhar and Sona Gali area in Mankote sectors of Poonch and triggered the explosion of several landmines on Friday afternoon.
“There was no report of any damage or injury in the explosions,” they said, adding that the teams were on the spot to douse the flames and control the fire.
