- Efforts of Prime Minister Shri Modi and Chief Minister Dr. Yadav for the Ken-Betwa river linking project are commendable: Sushri Uma Bharti
Bhopal, Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav paid a courtesy visit to former Chief Minister Sushri Uma Bharti in Shyamala Hills on Thursday. On this occasion, Sushri Bharti said that the foundation of Ken-Betwa, the world’s first river-linking project that will change the face of the Bundelkhand region, was laid by Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, which is commendable. This has been possible only due to the efforts of Prime Minister Shri Modi and Chief Minister Dr. Yadav. This is an important project in itself.
Sushri Bharti said that both flood and drought are problems of their kind. These problems arise in different areas and the river linking project is an important solution for both these problems. Ken-Betwa river-linking project is not ordinary but it can transform the whole economy. The dream of former Prime Minister Late Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee will be realized with the efforts of Prime Minister Shri Modi and Chief Minister Dr. Yadav. Former Chief Minister Sushri Uma Bharti welcomed and honoured Chief Minister Dr. Yadav with angavastram.
Former Chief Minister Sushri Bharti said that she wanted to visit Chief Minister Dr. Yadav at his residence to thank him for the bhomi-pujan of the Ken-Betwa project. At this Chief Minister Dr. Yadav insisted that he was coming to meet her. She said she is very happy with his arrival and Dr. Yadav’s important role in starting the Ken-Betwa project for the prosperity of the entire state along with the Bundelkhand region. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav made the project, which was pending for years, possible in just one year of his tenure.
