Hyderabad, (UNI) Dr A Chandrasekhar, a former Minister in united Andhra Pradesh and a prominent leader of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), has tendered his resignation from the party.
Talking to the media here on Sunday, Dr Chandrasekhar announced that he had submitted his resignation letter to Telangana’s BJP State President and Union Minister, G Kishan Reddy, on Saturday night.
Expressing his views, Dr Chandrasekhar noted that the BJP’s influence has waned in the state following a change in leadership. He also expressed discontent with the reshuffling of positions, particularly the replacement of Bandi Sanjay Kumar before the assembly elections.
He went on to allege that the BJP is shielding certain individuals in the state and is not adequately recognizing the efforts of dedicated leaders who are sincerely committed to the party’s cause.
In response to an invitation from A Revanth Reddy, Member of Parliament and President of the Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC), Dr Chandrasekhar has revealed his intention to join the Congress party.
