Nagarkurnool (Telangana), July 1 (UNI) Four members of a family, including a mother and three children, were killed and another person was seriously injured when an old mud building collapsed on them in Vanapatla village in Nagarkurnool district, Telangana, in the early hours of Monday.
According to police, the family, consisting of the mother, father, two daughters, and a son, was sleeping in their mud building.
Due to heavy rain, the old structure collapsed on them at around 0300 hours. The mother, two daughters, and the son were killed on the spot, while the seriously injured father Bhaskar (28) was admitted to Nagarkurnool government hospital for treatment.
The deceased were identified as Padma (26), twin daughters–Pappi (6), and Vasantha (6) and a 10-month-old son.
A case has been registered, and an investigation is underway, police added.
