FS Misri co-chairs 3rd Development Cooperative Talks with Bhutanese counterpart

Thimphu/New Delhi, July 20 (UNI) Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri along with his Bhutanese counterpart Aum Pema Choden co-chaired the Third India-Bhutan Development Cooperative Talks of the 13th Plan and also jointly virtually inaugurated 19 schools in Bhutan.

The Indian Embassy in Thimphu, in posts on X, said that the two top diplomats also reviewed implementation modalities in different areas of the development partnership under the 13th Five Year Plan period.

“The two Foreign Secretaries virtually inaugurated 19 schools in Bhutan, which were constructed during the 12th FYP period.”

On Friday, after arriving in Thimphu, Foreign Secretary Misri had called on Bhutanese Prime Minister Tshering Tobgay and Foreign Minister D. N. Dhungyel during which the two sides discussed ways to further strengthen the exemplary bilateral times across all sectors.

The Foreign Secretary is set to receive an audience with The King of Bhutan Jigme Khesar Namgyel Wangchuck today.
