Bengaluru, Apr 10 (UNI) In a significant milestone, Garuda Aerospace on Wednesday announced its collaboration with the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO).
Garuda Aerospace’s expertise in drone technology, particularly its Quadcopter drones integrated with machine learning and artificial intelligence, holds immense potential for enhancing efficiency across various ISRO operations.
The partnership underscores the increasing importance of drones and unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) in space-related activities.
Garuda Aerospace’s successful trials in delivering medicines, food supplies, and sanitization efforts during the COVID-19 pandemic have demonstrated the practical applications and reliability of their drone technology, paving the way for this collaboration with ISRO.
Agnishwar Jayaprakash, the CEO and Founder of Garuda Aerospace acknowledged the significance of this achievement, emphasising the company’s dedication to excellence and its belief in the pivotal role of drones in the space sector.
He also highlighted the support from the Union Government, particularly the approval of 100 percent Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) into the space sector, as a crucial factor driving opportunities for Garuda Aerospace’s growth and its ambition to become the first Indian drone Unicorn startup.
Garuda Aerospace’s drones, known for their adaptability to withstand atmospheric pressure and gravity, offer versatile capabilities ranging from surveying and mapping to sample collection, making them well-suited for various applications in space exploration and operations.
Furthermore, Garuda Aerospace’s recent advancements, including the launch of its border patrolling drone Trishul and securing dual approvals from the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) for manufacturing and pilot training, highlight its leadership and commitment to innovation in the drone industry.
The company’s plans to go public by the end of 2024 further highlight its ambitious growth trajectory and its position as a key player in the evolving landscape of drone technology in India.
