Goa-Jaipur flights to remain suspended in April

  • Additional flights to Hyderabad and Raipur announced

Bhopal: The Rajabhoj Airport in Bhopal will temporarily suspend flights to Goa and two other cities starting next month. However, the airport authorities remain hopeful that flights to all destinations will resume during the summer season.

According to the latest reports, Indigo flights from Bhopal to Goa and Jaipur will be temporarily halted from April. Additionally, flights to Prayagraj, which have already been suspended for the past three months, will remain unavailable. Bookings for these routes from Rajabhoj Airport will be closed until March 30.

The suspension of these flights is attributed to ongoing expansion work at the airport. Travelers planning to fly to Goa and Jaipur in April have expressed frustration as online booking services for these routes are no longer available.

Increased Flight Services to Hyderabad and Raipur

Meanwhile, additional flight services to Delhi, Hyderabad, and Raipur will continue without interruption. The number of passengers flying from Bhopal to Raipur has been steadily increasing, particularly as the summer season approaches. Currently, only one Indigo flight operates on the Bhopal-Raipur route, but starting March 30, an additional flight will be added. The new service, flight number 6E 7149, will depart from Bhopal at 9:40 AM and arrive in Raipur at 11:10 AM.

Additionally, a third flight service to Hyderabad will commence on March 30. Flight 6E 7595 will depart from Bhopal at 6:55 PM and land in Hyderabad at 9:00 PM after a two-hour journey.

Airport authorities are optimistic that flight services to Goa, Jaipur, and Prayagraj will resume by the third week of April, once the necessary airport expansions are completed.
