In Madhya Pradesh, the system of weekly off is going tobe implemented in the police department from Monday.

DGP Sudhir Kumar Saxena has given instructions for the same to the police across the state through video conference. DGP Saxena said that with the weekly off (Holiday), the police officers and employees will be able to stay physically and mentally fit. Along with this, they will be able to find time for their families as well. With the weekly holiday, all the policemen will definitely be encouraged to discharge their duties with new energy.

In fact, as soon as the Congress came to power in 2018, the Kamal Nath government started giving weekly holidays to the police staff. But as soon as the government left, this facility was also stopped. Now the Shivraj government has implemented this system in a view of the elections in 2023.
