Government to Teach Values to Children in Anganwadis

Bhopal: The Madhya Pradesh government is now not only focused on providing nutrition to children in Anganwadis but also on instilling values and good citizenship skills. The goal is to develop these qualities in children from a young age, shaping them into responsible citizens. Anganwadi workers will be responsible for this important task, and to support them, the government will provide specialized training. The training will emphasize that their role is not just a job, but to create a nurturing, home-like environment where children are raised with care and strong moral values.

On Tuesday, the Cabinet approved the “Saksham Anganwadi & Poshan 2.0” scheme, which includes a comprehensive training program focused on both nutrition and education. A budget of Rs 30.56 crore has been allocated for this initiative. The program aims to promote early childhood care and education, especially during the crucial first 1,000 days of life. Anganwadi workers will receive enhanced training to improve their skills, with one Child Development Project Officer and three supervisors selected as master trainers. These master trainers will, in turn, train Anganwadi workers.
