Bhopal: Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav, while extending his heartfelt greetings on the birth anniversary of Sant Shiromani Guru Ravidas, reaffirmed the state government’s unwavering commitment to empowering deprived sections of society.

Speaking at a special event at Hindi Bhavan on Wednesday, Dr. Yadav emphasized the government’s mission to eradicate poverty, create job opportunities for the youth, uphold women’s dignity, and honor farmers. He stressed that every individual, regardless of background, should have access to progress and prosperity.

Highlighting various welfare initiatives, the CM credited the vision of Baba Saheb Bhimrao Ambedkar, who championed education, employment, and equality through the Constitution. He also applauded Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s inspirational journey, noting how perseverance and hard work can break barriers.

The event began with the traditional lighting of the ceremonial lamp and the worship of a girl child—symbolizing the empowerment of women. Dr. Yadav paid floral tributes to Sant Ravidas and released a souvenir along with the Ravidas Chalisa. Organized by Navayuvak Ahirwar Samaj Sudhar Sangh and Chamar Vikas Sangh Bhopal, the gathering saw an enthusiastic response. The CM was honored with a grand gajmala and a memento, reflecting the community’s appreciation.

Prominent leaders, including Bhopal Mayor Malti Rai, MLA Bhagwandas Sabnani, and Municipal Corporation Chairman Kishan Suryavanshi, attended the event.

Ravidas Ji’s teachings to be included in schools

CM Yadav announced that Sant Ravidas Ji’s profound teachings on equality and social justice would be integrated into the school curriculum. Citing the saint’s powerful message—”Jaat-Paat Puchhe Na Koi, Hari Ko Bhaje So Hari Ko Hoi”—he underscored the importance of fostering unity and harmony in society.
