Republic Day closing ceremony held in the presence of Governor
Bhopal: The Republic Day celebrations in the state concluded on Monday with “Beating the Retreat 2024” in the dignified presence of Governor Mangubhai Patel. This colorful program was organized at Motilal Nehru Stadium, Bhopal. The musical performances by the players of Police and Army Brass Band mesmerized the audience. The march past in step with the rhythm and the exciting tunes of patriotic songs made the program resonating.
Program started with police concert
On the arrival of Governor Shri Mangubhai Patel, the police brass band first welcomed him by playing a tune. After his permission the police brass band concert started. The concert started with the song “Vande Mataram” by Police Brass Band under the leadership of Shri Sunil Katare.
The musical journey included “Yeh Shaam Mastani”, “Teri Mitti”, “Ae Dil Hai Mushkil”, “Mere Ghar Ram Aaye Hain”, “ Lahara Do”, tunes from the album Europe, “The Final Countdown”, “Chhookar Mere Mann Ko”, “Aye Mere Watan Ke Logon” and “Chale Jaise Hawaayen” were included. The concert reached its climax with the tune of the song “Jai Ho”.
March past took place on tunes of band
In the latter part of the program, a joint band presentation of fanfare to the tune of Entry, quick march to the tune of Astronaut and display of fanfare was given by the police and army brass bands. The Army Brass Band performed the entry march to the tune of Army Star.
After the slow march to the tune of Hetheroy, a display was performed to the tune of “O Desh Mere” and an exit march to the tune of “Kadam Se Kadam Badhaye Jaa”. The Police Brass Band performed a quick march to the tunes of General Nirmal, Takta Watan Ki and General Teppy. Presented a slow march to the tune of Scipio. The tunes of the songs “Maa Tujhe Salaam” and “Hindustan Meri Jaan” were presented in the display.
