New Delhi, Nov 1 (UNI) Reflecting economic activities and growing compliance, India’s gross GST collection rose 8.9% year-on-year to Rs 1,87,346 crore in October 2024, official data released on Friday showed.
The total GST collection in October 2023 had stood at Rs 1,72,003 crore.
As per official data, net GST revenue, after adjusting refunds, increased 7.9% year-on-year to Rs 1,68,041 crore in October this year as against Rs 1,55,668 crore in the same month last year.
Gross domestic GST revenue saw an increase of 10.6% to Rs 1,42,251 crore in October this year from Rs 1,28,582 crore in the same month last year. Gross GST revenue from imports rose 3.9% year-on-year to Rs 45,096 crore during the month under review.
Some of the states which saw double-digit growth in the month of October this year were Punjab, West Bengal, Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat, Maharashtra and Andhra Pradesh. States registering negative growth in GST collection during the month of October this year included Himachal Pradesh, Arunachal Pradesh, Chhattisgarh and Nagaland.
